Jake and His Stingray Off the Coast of Siesta Key
Fall fishing is starting to take off with cooler days and gulf waters getting back into the mid 80s the fish are starting to bite! We fished an overnight two days after the moon (13th) the water was great there were hard 1 to 1.5 degree temp breaks with little color changes but a lot of life. we caught plenty of bailer dolphin (3-6lb) fish and about a dozen gaffer dolphin (10-20 pounders. we also caught one white marlin a beautiful bite and a nice fish. We had a slower than usual sword bite so the second afternoon we stopped and got our limit of groupers and amberjacks all on jigs! We also had a school of nice dolphins swarm us and we caught the whole school half on live runners the other half on wax wings a ton of fun. Groupers are still open and biting better and better we each cold front come and get em!
